2 Our goals and statutes

Our goal:
Zinduka e.V. campaigns against female genital mutilation ("FGM") in Kenya. All our programmes contribute to the abolition of FGM. We follow the UN (United Nations) agenda and are therefore determined that FGM can be ended by 2030.
Through various educational programmes, we aim to achieve a sustainable improvement in the living environment of all people, with a focus on girls and women.
We pursue a holistic approach, some of our topics and training areas are
- Unbiased and non-coercive FGM education
- Training on the legal situation of FGM, children, women and human rights in Kenya
- Training on sexual and reproductive health and rights in cooperation with THE RAIN WORKERS
- Positive parenting training for parents
- Importance of education
- Career paths and opportunities
- Interaction between people and nature with a focus on a sustainable and conscious lifestyle

3. information on tax concessions
According to the last notice of exemption we received from the Marburg-Biedenkopf tax office (tax number 31/250/56899) dated 8 June 2022 (assessment period 2017 to 2019), our work is exempt from corporation tax in accordance with Section 5 (1) No. 9 of the German Corporation Tax Act (Körperschaftsteuergesetz) and from trade tax in accordance with Section 3 No. 6 of the German Trade Tax Act (Gewerbesteuergesetz).
Zinduka e.V. was registered as a non-profit organisation in Marburg an der Lahn, Germany, in 2016. The non-profit status exists according to §§51 Ff. AO. The non-profit organisation has the number 5323 in the register of associations in Marburg and the tax number is: 3125056899.

Here you can download the Annual report 2022 download (page 13). Our donations come mainly from private organisations and individuals.
(10.) In 2022, there was no donation from an individual that accounted for more than 10 % of the total annual budget.
We check very closely on site how the funds are used. We know the prices and pay attention to every euro.
